We had to use a cigarette as our weapon… Perhaps a bit forced.

See it through. It’s worth it for the visuals!

considering it was scripted, shot, edited w/sfx and scored in 48 hours…with mandatory random elements included…i’d like to see what chris would have come up with in that situation :-)

I think the way you used the cigarette was so clever, very thought-provoking, and really original. Great job on the gory make-up and modelling, it looks like so much fun!
Great opening credits, and congrats to the editor as well!
And also the whole psychotic euthanasia-state of the character was very well done. More of a gory psych-thriller from my POV.
Perhaps you have studied psychology or perhaps not, but let me tell you the experience he’s having is very realistic… Definitely voting.

In such a short time, you guys pulled off a fantastic-looking piece! The acting was great and the visuals were top-notch (especially with the two guys merged in one and the final shot of Grant with his brain sticking out). There was a good balance of practical and digital effects, and a certain amount of confusion to the story that makes you want to watch it again (which is not a bad thing at all). It creeped me out a bit too…

I had so Much fun working on this, despite the lack of sleep ;) Still wish we had time to do a little more VFX, but unfortunately it seems there is no node to make me a better actor…too bad lol.

I hope everyone enjoyed our film and I cant wait to meet everyone in person at the screening.

looking forward to doing this again next year!!!!!

      Hey Lost Boys,

Just want to give you guys a shout and say that we enjoy your film. The surreal visuals are out of this world, especially love the skull-less ending, like a scene right out of Hannibal. Mad respect, keep ‘em coming.

Thank you so much for your kind words.
This is our first time entering Bloodshots, but hopefully not our last. We loved every exhausting second of making it. I think next year we should get Red bull to sponsor us :)
Check the video on Vimeo again after voting closes, we want to re-edit it and add a few more shots we didn’t get finished in time. It will be even better.
